1 City University of New York


The City University of New York CUNY was founded in 1847 and is the leading urban public University in the United States. More than 160 years people used this learning base to develop and educate themselves.

3 University of Hong Kong

The University of Hong Kong was founded in 1910 by the then Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Frederick Lugard. In process of time different faculties have been developed. The first faculty was founded in 1912 – the Faculty of Medicine.

HKU, how it is lovingly named by its academic staff, offers a multicultural atmosphere. About 45% of students are from overseas, usually in association with a scholarship of other high-class universities from all over the world: United Kingdom, North America, Australia and other countries.

In 2007 about 80% of the total income of the University of Hong Kong was given to support education- and research-related activities. It is for this reason that the HKU Foundation was established in 1995. This non-profit organization supports the research and development of this University.

The Journalism and Media Studies Centre JMSC of the University of Hong Kong offers young and talented students the possibility to study a subject that becomes more and more important in our times – Journalism.
